Driving Around the US

One of the things I love the most about travel nursing is the traveling from place to place. I love photographing the landscapes we pass along the way.
I thought I would post some of the pictures I have taken.

I love water (maybe because I'm Pisces) (SC)

Tobacco field (worked in many growing up) (SC)

I love old barns too (SC)

I have tons more but don't want to bore everyone!

Summer Ends (October 2015)

Our summer time is drawing to a close here is Myrtle Beach. We enjoyed being close to family and home but I will have to say that this was the hardest assignment I have had. I met and worked with a bunch of good travelers that I hope to meet again some day. It was nice working with Anna again and hope we can work out an assignment together again in the future.

A night out for several traveler friends
who are at the end of contract.

Bye bye beach, we will miss you
We are leaving the sea air for NashVegas...aka Nashville, Tennessee. We are taking a week off before starting the next contract to check on the house and do some things around there that need to be done. Hope to see some fall colors before we leave the mountains and head to Nashville.

Farewell to the beach...

Love, War and Family (Summer 2015)

The summer was very busy at work but looking forward to family visiting made it all better. Well maybe not better but tolerable! Jennifer and Zac came the first part of July for a few days. Tammy, Claire and Cody came mid-July for a weekend visit. Kathryn came in September while she was recouping from a procedure on her foot.

Family

I know it looks like August was totally left out of the fun but we spent a lot of time at the beach. Work was brutal and I just needed quiet time to re-energize. I did go to Wilmington for 2 days to renew my TNCC certification. Tammy and I went to a "many years ago" multi-class reunion in Bluffton, South Carolina in September. It was fun and a great idea to include many graduating classes and not just your graduating class. It was a small school so we were all pretty close. It was great seeing friends from the past and spending the weekend with my sista. We enjoyed a tailgating cookout before the Friday night football game, then enjoyed the game. Saturday Tammy and I spent driving around seeing all the old places...sad the school is not longer standing. Saturday night was a BBQ down by the river with great music and loads of laughter.

It's time to start looking for our next place for adventure and work. Tune in to see where we end up!

Hello Myrtle Beach (July 2015)

David and I decided to take an assignment closer to home plus my friend Anna was already in Myrtle Beach. So we headed to South Carolina July 10th. We thought we were going to have a week off but my start date was moved up a week. And with that we could not get into our apartment until Monday the 13th so we spent 3 nights in a hotel (not fun with 2 adults and 2 dogs!). David got us checked into our apartment on Monday while I was at orientation.

Very busy ER!
We did a little exploring around town when I was off the first few weeks. Since we both had been to the area many times in the past there was not much "new" for us to explore.
We checked out the best public beach accesses to see which we liked the most and which were the closest to our apartment.

The best thing about Myrtle Beach was it is loaded with putt putt places! David and I have always been very competitive at putt putt and we didn't get to play any at all while in Florida.

Captain Hooks Adventure Golf was our favorite place to play.

I will have to admit that David won the most games (he cheated though...hehe).

That's all for now. We have family making plans to come visit so more to come!
